Rain

"Plip, plop
drip, drop
tappity tap",
The sound of the raindrops as hit the asphalt.
Rain can heal,
Rain can nuture.
But the "pitter-patter" of the rain drops isnt always a welcoming sign,
as rain too can destroy,
flood,
kill,
and drown.
Rain is the indispensible "glue" that "bonds" the earth togther.

Flame

Flame
By Kiran

Fire can burn.

Fire can heal.

Fire can destroy.

Fire can create.

Fire is my enemy.

Fire is my friend.

Fire can kill.

Fire can save.

Fire is here.

Fire is there.

Fire is not here.

Fire is not there.

Fire will burn forever.

Hurricanes

Hurricanes
By Kiran

As the deep, black clouds conquer the sky,
and launch salvos of lightning bolts, and hail,
the nurtured super cell arises and whips
houses, and small
building off their foundations,
while it also gains integrity,
and matures into a tropical storm.

Sudden, deadly stillness fills the air,
while the only thing to be heard of is a hurricane siren.
as gentle rain drops gush out of the sky onto earth,
Unexpectedly,…………….
the ravenous,
matured vortex
finally,
yet silently touches down on the sodden ground.

Briskly,
the raging storm silently begins its gargantuan feast,
As it razes everything in its path.
slowly things begin to calm down,
and activity levels begin to increase,
people cautiously open their doors and begin to wonder
around.

This here is a little snare mother nature packs in for us,
it is what we consider to be the calmest part of an
hurricane,……..
The eye.

Therefore
suddenly,
they were virtually blown off the face of the earth,
as the second, yet ultimate wall assumes its position.

Midnight

Midnight
By Kiran

Sudden,
hair raising ,
stillness fills the black night sky,
while the gentle sounds of small creatures fills the air,
therefore,
the night sky is a tremendous black hole, which devours half
the earth at a time.

Surrounding the area with only the rays of light,
descending from the moon, and the faint sounds of new
creatures arising.
With few signs of life

Sunset

Sunset
By Kiran

As the sun retires,

the sky begins to regain its deep black color,

and you can begin to stare at the glistening white star’s,

and the moon’s cascading rays of dim light,
which fills up the night sky with small
amounts of white radiant light.

Then slowly most creatures take rest,

while for others it is only the beginning of a new dawn.

What Im Thankful For

What Im Thankful For
By Kiran

I’m thankful for my parents,
shelter, and my good health. I’m thankful for hot shower water and how my
parents buy clothes I want. I’m thankful for the internet-Google in particular.
For sushi. For video games that make me smile. That soap kills germs. I’m
thankful I have interesting books to read, and a thesaurus. I’m thankful for
touch screen technology and erasers. I’m thankful that there are commercials to
create suspense, and that Thanksgiving is soon to come. I’m thankful for trust.

Sunrise

Sunrise
By Kiran

As the sun’s warm, radiating, sunray’s race over the horizon
to earth,
the birds chirp,
and as the sky begins to assume its beautiful blue color,
flowers bloom, dogs bark, and children giggle.
Finally the sun illuminates the earth’s sky with colors of
purple, orange, red, and yellow.

Moments later, the earth displays its meteoric flowers,
great greens,
vast valleys,
translucent rivers,
and well…….. “Plain plains".

Dragon of the comic void statue by "Yu Yu Yang" (Poem by Kiran Chandra)

Dragon of the comic void statue by "Yu Yu Yang"
Poem by Kiran Chandra

As the glistening colors of the prism,
cascade along the curved surfaces,
the descending fortification
of water,
deluges off its infrastructure.
Corkscrewing and arcing at every curve.

The monumental,
pitch-black wall sentinels the indispensable piece of
history,
that man-kind himself,
does not know about.

Winter

Winter
By Kiran

As the lushes,
soft,
snow flakes hitch a ride in the refreshing morning gale,

Vicious bears hibernate,
while gentle squirrels scurry among the frigid,
bare tree branches.

While the young children are having a great time outside
shoveling snow,
and throwing snow balls,
while the elderly spend their time indoors,
around a delicious,
warm,
radiating,
fire drinking a cup of Joe,
or sipping on a jug of warm tea,
while reading the newspaper or watching TV.

Finally the sun was
able to sift its way through the grey,
soft,
fuzzy,
dim,
clouds, and the blue
sky tried to fight its way through the clouds too,
but they were just
too thick,
thus the gentle,
delicate,
soft snow flakes
became heavy, macho, slush.
